Eleanore Knox, Actor Sydney

Eleanore Knox Actor Actress Sydney Australia.

Hailing from Tasmania, Eleanore has an impressive string of performance experience and training under her belt, especially for someone who has only been actively pursuing a career in acting since late 2010!

Eleanore has several awards to her name, including the Launceston College Subject Award for SDP5C Theatre Performance; an HSC subject for which Eleanore also received the coveted ‘Top Mark In The State’ from the Tasmanian Qualifications Authority.

However the two awards of which Eleanore is most proud would have to be the annual ‘Most Promising Young Actor’ award at the Deloraine Drama Festival (Tasmania wide), and most recently the NUTS ‘Best Actress’ award for 2012.

Eleanore’s first theatrical audition (excluding school productions) gained her the role of Abigail in The Crucible (Three River Theatre), followed by several local plays and then her first professional role in early 2011 as Joan in Joan of Arc (Stephen Beckett Productions).

Since then, Eleanore has been fortunate enough to play a diverse range of characters including Yvette in ‘Allo ‘Allo (Encore Theatre Company), and Lady Macbeth in Macbeth (NUTS). In addition, Eleanore has performed in various musicals as a featured singer/dancer since the age of seven.

Eleanore is also no stranger to the camera, having appeared in numerous short films, a national music video, a commercial, and most recently in Scene Work Unlocked for ActingStudioGlobal.com, an online acting training program conceived by Andrew Lloyde, Course Director of the Full Time Program at Actors Centre Australia.

While she was in Year 11 and 12 and studying for the HSC, Eleanore was also studying an Associate Degree in Arts and an Associate Degree in Music Studies at the University of Tasmania (UTAS). The following year Eleanore successfully auditioned for the very first intake of students at COOPER SCREEN ACADEMY (CSA), where she completed the CSA Career Course.

Over the past three years since then, Eleanore has had various types of training at institutions including Actors Centre Australia (ACA), University of New South Wales (UNSW) and National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), plus private tutoring, learning from the likes of George Ogilvie, Andrew Lloyde, Hamish Pritchard, Linda Nicholls-Gidley, Lyn Pierse, Shane Briant, Dr Mark Seton, Dean Cundey, Peter Rasmussen, Sam Chester, Taylor Owynns, Sara Cooper, Daniella Lacob, Berynn Schwerdt, Brett Rogers, Paige Rattray, Sam Haft, Les Chantery, Don Christopher, Nathan Lovejoy, Frankie Savage, and Michael Edgar.

Eleanore was recently accepted to study the Advanced Diploma of Acting for Contemporary Screen Media at International Screen Academy (ISA).
